English-To-Tamil Dictionary for Android devices

Its well-Known fact that Google’s Android Operating system started ruling the mobile/Tablet’s Global market. Android’s sudden raise became great challenge for Apple’s IOS, Nokia’s Symbian/meogo OS, Windows mobile O.S.. Most of the Tablet’s / Mobile (Samsung Galaxy, Nexus One, HTC… etc.,) started using Android O.S n got succeed. Being Android is Linux-kernel based, Open-source and free of cost, it has good scope in future too. Its time for Tamil computing people to contribute important Tamil Apps for Android too. As an start, for our part, we contribute “English-To-tamil dictionary for Android devices”.

Lakhs-n-Lakhs of English words of various fields from Engineering, medicine to Agriculture, with corresponding Equivalent Tamil Meaning words. Implemented Fastest loading & search algorithm, with colourful custom background and animated entry, auto complete Text, audio on event, Home-screen word of the day as back-ground service,Vibration on alert and lot-n-lots of Features as a Role model for top-Rated other’s App.

Menus provides various Options, which includes..,

· Text-to-speech – Just click to hear it out thru system voice
· Notify it – Note down to notification part for reference
· Google it- inbuilt browser to get more search results from various web links
· SMS-word of the day- Forward as message to help others to improve vocabulary
· Add to widgets- Add word to Home-screen Dict widgets
· copy to clipboard- copy to system’s clipboard to paste anywhere
· Inbuilt notepad-to take notes of important things and save it
· speech input- Just speak out as, voice input to search word
· insert word- insert ur own word to dictionary d.b
· Libray info-Various info Country capital/currency,invention/discovery,abbr.,/acrnym etc.,
